1 Introduction

Welcome to Speed Math — a free, fully offline arithmetic practice app for students. The app generates unlimited addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, squares, square roots, tables and percentage questions on your device, and lets you practice at your own pace or race the clock in timed tests — all without requiring an internet connection.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is used. We are committed to full transparency: Speed Math does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with us or any third party.

2 Information We Collect

Speed Math does not collect any personally identifiable information. Every practice question is generated on your device by a built-in question generator — no question bank is downloaded, and no answer is ever sent anywhere. The only data stored is on your own device using a private, sandboxed local database (Hive), and includes:

• Your test history — the operation, difficulty, score, and time taken for each practice or timed test you complete
• App preferences such as dark mode and sound effect settings

This data never leaves your device. It is never uploaded, synced, or shared in any form. You can delete it at any time from the app's Profile tab using "Clear all data."

3 Permissions We Use

Speed Math does not request any special Android permissions — no location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, or network access is required for the app to function.

4 How We Use Your Information

All data stored by the app is used exclusively on your device to provide the app's core features:

• Test history — saved results power your stats on the Home tab, the accuracy trend chart, and the History list, so you can track your own progress over time.
• App preferences — your theme and sound choices are applied at startup to personalise your experience.

No data is used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any commercial purpose.

5 Data Storage & Retention

All data is stored exclusively on your device using Hive, a private, app-sandboxed local database that other apps cannot access.

• Data is retained as long as the app is installed.
• Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored data.
• You can also clear your data at any time from Profile → Clear all data inside the app, or via Settings → Apps → Speed Math → Storage → Clear Data.

No backups of your test history or preferences are made to any external server or cloud service.

6 Third-Party Services

Speed Math does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, advertising networks, or crash-reporting tools. The app is entirely self-contained.

The only external interaction occurs when you download the app from Google Play, which is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy.

7 Data Security

Because no personal data is ever transmitted to any server, the primary security boundary is your device itself. We recommend:

• Using a screen lock (PIN, pattern, or biometric) on your device.
• Keeping your device's Android OS up to date to benefit from the latest security patches.

The app stores only non-sensitive practice data (test scores and app preferences). Even if accessed by another app or a malicious actor with physical device access, this data poses no meaningful privacy risk.

8 Children's Privacy

Speed Math is designed for students and does not require user accounts, does not collect personal information, and does not contain in-app purchases or advertisements. The app is suitable for users of all ages, including children under 13.

Because no personal data is collected, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations do not impose any additional obligations on this app.

9 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published at this URL and noted in the app's Google Play Store listing under "What's New" for the relevant version.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
